Layouts
Switch between layout presets, arrange modules into columns, and save your own layouts.
A layout decides which modules appear in each of the three columns. Crossfeed includes three presets.
| Key | Layout | Columns |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Coding | Preview, Mixer, and Stream info · Chat · Activity, Stats, and Health |
| 2 | Gaming | Preview, Health, and Mixer · Chat · Activity and Stats |
| 3 | Just chatting | Chat · Preview and Activity · Stats, Stream info, and Health |
Press a number key to switch layouts. Your own layouts get the next numbers, up to 9. To change which layout sits on which key, see Manage layouts.
Arrange modules
- Press E or select Arrange in the deck.
- Drag a module to another column or to another place in the same column.
- To add a hidden module, select it under Hidden.
- Press E or select Done to finish.
Changes to a preset stay until you select Reset for that preset.
Resize modules
Every module has a handle along its bottom edge. Drag it to change the module's height. The handle lights up when you hover over it. Chat fills the height left in its column until you give it a height of its own.
Each module keeps a minimum height, and content that doesn't fit scrolls inside the module.
| Module | Minimum height |
|---|---|
| Preview | 180px |
| Mixer | 160px |
| Stream info | 200px |
| Chat | 320px |
| Activity | 160px |
| Stats | 180px |
| Broadcast health | 160px |
To change column widths, press E or select Arrange in the deck, then drag the handle between two columns. Column handles only appear when the dashboard shows three columns.
To resize from the keyboard, focus a handle with Tab and press the arrow keys.
Double-click a module's handle to return it to its natural height, or a column handle to reset every size in the layout. Reset sizes in the arrange bar does the same.
Save a layout
- While arranging, select Save as new layout.
- Enter a name and select Save.
To delete a layout you saved, switch to it, press E, and select Delete. Crossfeed asks you to confirm first. Presets can be reset but not deleted.
Manage layouts
Open Settings and select Layouts to see every layout in number-key order. The first nine sit on 1 to 9.
- Select ↑ or ↓ to move a layout up or down the list, which changes its number key.
- Select Use to switch to a layout.
- Select Rename to give a layout a new name of up to 40 characters.
- Select Reset on a preset to return its modules and sizes to the built-in arrangement. On a layout you saved, Reset returns its column widths and module heights to the defaults and keeps the modules where they are.
- Select Delete to remove a layout you saved. Crossfeed asks you to confirm first.
Layouts sync to every browser you sign in to. To keep a copy as a file, export your settings.
