The dashboard
Learn the parts of the Crossfeed dashboard and how to move between them.
The dashboard has a deck along the top and three columns of modules below it.
The deck
The deck shows your connected accounts, the layout keys, the color mode, and the viewer count on each platform. Each player in the Preview module counts as a viewer on its platform, so Crossfeed subtracts one from that platform's count while its player is on screen. While you're live, the on-air plate shows how long the stream has been running. When you're off air, the same plate opens the go-live checklist. When both platforms are connected and only one is live, the plate reads On air · Twitch only or On air · stream.place only. While Twitch is live without stream.place, the plate also has a Go live key that opens the checklist.
Modules
Each module has a key cap with a letter. Press that letter to move focus to the module. The letters below are the defaults, and you can change them.
| Key | Module | Shows |
|---|---|---|
| C | Chat | Messages from both platforms, the composer, and moderation keys |
| A | Activity | Alerts and a timeline with All, Alerts, Mod, and Stream tabs |
| S | Stats | Viewers per platform, peak, messages, chatters, and past streams |
| P | Preview | The Twitch player and the stream.place player. The Twitch player doesn't react to the mouse, so Twitch's title and category overlay stays hidden. |
| M | Mixer | Audio levels from OBS for program output and each input |
| I | Stream info | Title, category, tags, language, and content warning |
| H | Health | OBS output stats, stream.place video, and restream targets |
Command palette
Press Cmd K on macOS or Ctrl K on Windows and Linux to open the command palette. It lists every module, layout, and appearance option, along with actions such as popping out the chat and opening settings.
Module states
Every module shows its state when it has nothing to display. A module for a platform you haven't connected links to the Accounts section of Settings. A module that lost its connection shows the error and tries again.
To rearrange the modules, see Layouts.
Activity
The Activity module lists alerts from both platforms. Bluesky follows count as stream.place follows. Crossfeed checks your Bluesky followers every 30 seconds while the dashboard is open, so a Bluesky follow alert can take up to 30 seconds to appear. When someone unfollows and follows again, Crossfeed alerts at most once every 10 minutes for that account.
When Twitch refuses one of the event subscriptions Crossfeed asks for, the Activity module shows Some events are missing. It names the events Twitch isn't sending, such as follow alerts, along with the reason Twitch gave. Select Open account settings to reconnect Twitch when Twitch reports missing permissions.
Settings
Select Settings in the deck, or run Open settings from the command palette, to open the settings window over the dashboard. It has ten sections:
- Accounts: connect and disconnect Twitch and your AT Protocol account, and see your plan. See Account and billing.
- Go live: whether Go live starts the stream on stream.place, and the default for each restream target. The go-live dialog starts from these choices. See Restream.
- OBS: the OBS WebSocket address and password. See Connect OBS.
- Overlays: overlay links, whether overlays stay live with the dashboard closed, and the style editor. See Overlays.
- Layouts: rename, reorder, reset, and delete layouts. See Layouts.
- Commands: keyboard shortcuts, slash command aliases, and custom slash commands. See Keyboard shortcuts and Chat commands.
- Bot: commands and timers for the Crossfeed bot. See Chat bot.
- Appearance: the color mode, chatter profile lookups, and viewer counts. Turn on Hide Twitch viewer counts or Hide stream.place viewer counts to keep that platform's numbers out of the deck, the Stats module, and the recap. With both on, Stats shows messages, chatters, and follows only. Crossfeed still records the counts in your stream history.
- Data: settings sync, export, import, and stream history. See Data and privacy.
- Changelog: what changed in Crossfeed, newest first, with new entries marked. The same list is on the changelog page.
When Crossfeed changes, the dashboard opens What's new the next time you open it and lists the entries you haven't seen. Select Got it to close it. Opening the Changelog section also marks every entry as seen. Settings sync carries what you've seen to your other browsers.
The dashboard keeps running behind the window, so chat, alerts, and overlays stay live while you change settings. Press Esc or select Close to go back.
